Electrical Safety Information

The Pennine Barrel features an 8kW Harvia electric heater and requires a dedicated hard-wired electrical supply.

It is not suitable for connection to a standard 13A household plug socket.

A qualified electrician must confirm the required circuit capacity, cable sizing, protective devices and electrical installation arrangements using the heater manufacturer's technical documentation and applicable UK regulations.

Important Information

The sauna must be positioned on a solid, level and well-drained foundation capable of safely supporting the structure and its occupants.

Final specifications, accessory contents and optional treatments should be confirmed against the manufacturer's supplied documentation.

Warranty Information

1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty

The Pennine Barrel 6-Person Traditional Outdoor Sauna by SaunaPlunge includes a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.

The manufacturer's warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects relating to the sauna's structure, electrical components and workmanship, subject to the manufacturer's applicable terms and conditions.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with your sauna, please contact Spa Supreme with:

• Your order number
• A description of the problem
• Photographs or videos where appropriate

Our team will liaise with SaunaPlunge to investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Care & Warranty Requirements

To help maintain your sauna:

• Follow the manufacturer's assembly and operating instructions.
• Ensure the Harvia heater is connected by a qualified electrician.
• Maintain suitable drainage and ventilation around the cabin.
• Clean interior benches and timber surfaces regularly.
• Inspect exterior timber, roof tiling and seals periodically.
• Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for exterior wood treatments and heater maintenance.

Important Information

The manufacturer's warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights under UK law, which remain unaffected.

Preparation Requirements

Proper preparation is essential to ensure your Pennine Barrel Traditional Outdoor Sauna can be delivered, assembled and operated safely.

Suitable Outdoor Location

The Pennine Barrel requires a stable, level and well-drained foundation capable of supporting the approximately 320kg assembled structure, its heater and up to six occupants.

Suitable foundations may include:

• A properly prepared concrete base
• Level paving slabs with appropriate structural support
• Reinforced decking designed to carry the required weight

The sauna should not be positioned directly on unstable soil or in areas where standing water may accumulate.

Electrical Requirements

The Pennine Barrel features an 8kW Harvia electric heater and requires a dedicated hard-wired electrical circuit.

A qualified electrician must assess and complete the electrical installation before the sauna is used.

Before installation:

• Arrange for a qualified electrician to assess the electrical requirements.
• Confirm that the property's electrical supply can support the heater.
• Provide a dedicated circuit with appropriately sized cables and protective devices.
• Ensure all outdoor electrical components are appropriately weatherproofed.
• Follow the Harvia manufacturer's wiring diagram and installation instructions.
• Arrange the necessary electrical work before operating the sauna.

The required circuit rating must be confirmed by your electrician using the exact heater specifications.

Important: This sauna is not a plug-and-play appliance and must not be connected to a standard household socket.

Space & Access Requirements

The supplier lists the sauna's approximate external dimensions as 1800 × 1800 × 2400 mm.

Please ensure:

• There is sufficient space for the sauna and its supporting foundation.
• Appropriate clearance is provided around the structure for ventilation and maintenance.
• Garden gates, pathways and entrances provide suitable delivery access.
• The delivery route is suitable for transporting the large sauna components.
• Adequate space is available for assembly and specialist installation equipment.

As the sauna arrives in one large crate, please contact Spa Supreme before ordering if access to your garden is restricted.

Ventilation & Drainage

The sauna should be installed in a well-drained outdoor area with adequate airflow around and beneath the structure.

Keep the raised base clear of standing water and prevent moisture from accumulating underneath the timber.

Follow the manufacturer's recommended clearances from surrounding buildings, fences and combustible materials.

Care & Maintenance

To maintain the appearance and performance of your Pennine Barrel:

• Clean the interior timber and benches regularly with suitable gentle cleaning products.
• Allow the sauna to ventilate and dry after use.
• Inspect the waterproof roof tiling and external seals periodically.
• Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for annual exterior wood treatment.
• Check the condition of sauna stones according to Harvia's maintenance instructions.
• Arrange periodic electrical inspections when required.
• Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals and excessive moisture.

Optional Exterior Timber Protection

Treatex Exterior Oil finishes may be available for customers who would like additional protection or a different timber appearance.

These treatments are optional and must be confirmed with Spa Supreme before ordering.

Any additional treatment charges or application arrangements will be discussed separately.

Before Your Sauna Arrives

• The foundation is stable, level and adequately drained.
• A qualified electrician has assessed the heater's electrical requirements.
• Garden access is suitable for receiving the large crate and components.
• Sufficient space is available for assembly and maintenance.
• Appropriate ventilation and safety clearances can be maintained.
